Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals US District Court, Central District of California
Lauren represents companies and executives in complex business and commercial litigation, corporate governance matters, and employment disputes, with a solutions-oriented approach positioning clients to achieve favorable outcomes both in and outside the courtroom.
Lauren brings a uniquely strategic perspective to litigation shaped by nearly a decade of experience as General Counsel of Bio-Nutritional Research Group, Inc., the consumer products company behind the popular Power Crunch protein bars. In that role, she guided the company through a successful acquisition by the Ferrero Group. She also played an active role in representing the company in a multi-phase shareholder litigation in the Complex Panel of the Orange County Superior Court, in which the court rejected all direct and derivative claims brought against the company's officers, directors, and majority shareholders, and entered judgment in defendants' favor on every issue. The Court of Appeal affirmed on the merits, leading to an award of prevailing party attorneys' fees.
In addition to her litigation responsibilities, Lauren served as the company's corporate secretary, managed complex co-manufacturing and commercial agreements, and handled a broad range of employment matters — giving her the fluency in business operations that distinguishes her counsel.
Before going in-house, Lauren spent ten years at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she developed her foundation as a trial attorney handling complex commercial matters and shareholder derivative suits. That experience, combined with her time in executive legal leadership, allows her to approach disputes with both litigation rigor and a practical understanding of business priorities.
